Artist Marilyn Sonneveld (b. 1990, NL) opens her doors for a private viewing of her Amsterdam-based atelier. An interdisciplinary visual artist and graduate of the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam, Sonneveld works across oil painting, glass sculpture, and installation. Her practice is marked by a vivid interplay of color and form, giving shape to intimate narratives around the body, self-acceptance, vulnerability, and sexuality.
Visitors to her atelier will have the rare opportunity to engage with works in progress and completed pieces, experiencing firsthand the layered processes and personal narratives that shape Sonneveld’s practice. Her work has been exhibited internationally in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Madrid, Lisbon, Miami, and Mexico City, and is part of both public and private collections including De Rijksoverheid, Nederlandsche Bank, ABN Amro Bank, and YCC Club.
