Jacky Boehm (b. Portland 1995) is a Brooklyn-based abstract representational painter whose practice examines transformation as a state of suspension, where organic and constructed forms converge, dissolve, and assume new configurations. Moving between figuration and abstraction, Boehm constructs psychologically charged environments in which the body is rendered as both subject and material, an unstable presence caught within processes of mutation, petrification, and emergence. Her layered compositions bring atmospheric color fields into dialogue with ornamental structures and figurative fragments, producing scenes that feel at once bodily, architectural, and otherworldly.

Working with highly fluid acrylics and oil on raw, hand-stretched canvas, Boehm allows the material itself to participate in the formation of the image. Pigment pools, disperses, and gathers across the unprimed surface, generating amorphous fields that function as both atmosphere and terrain. Within these shifting environments, figures and constructed forms appear to conjoin with wrought iron, marble, candelabra, and other symbolic structures, evoking the mythological passage between human and object.

Boehm has exhibited extensively across New York and Portland, including presentations at Harsh Collective, Baci Studio, McCarren Parkhouse, Wild Cactus, and Lion & Lamb. Her work has also been presented at the Affordable Art Fair in New York and featured in publications including the Harsh Collective Zine and Pilot Collective Zine.
