Arthur Lemonier (b.Paris 1998) is a visual artist whose work explores the human condition through the lens of expressive, deliberately ambiguous painting. Working at the intersection of body and social projection, his practice reflects on the fragmentation of modern identity within a culture that constantly seeks to define, regulate, and dictate physical form. Through intense, sensitive compositions nuanced with visceral undertones, Lemonier seeks to document the body as a site of tension and metamorphosis, capturing the subtle sense of vulnerability and erasure inherent in contemporary existence.

Drawing from both tragic narratives and emancipatory figures, his practice engages with lives marked by medical and social violence alongside icons who use the body as a space of experimentation and fluidity. By placing these lived experiences in dialogue with themes of memory, grief, and power, he constructs narratives where opposites collide—ecstasy and pain, attraction and repulsion—allowing the unreal to surface within the familiar. The artist received his formal training in Paris at MANAA ENSAAMA and the Faculté d'Arts Plastiques. Lemonier has exhibited internationally, with notable solo and group shows in Paris, London, Cervia, Bucharest, and the Netherlands.
